About NBGMF
Our Wish for the Weekend !
We trust that you are enjoying this great
weekend of good ol' gospel music
It's wonderful music isn't it?
BUT, it's message is even greater.
We pray that you are drawn closer to our
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through these
songs. We would like to encourage you
to find a church where you are comfortable to
attend. There are also some great fellowship
groups around. A perfect example is
THE ALPHA PROGRAM.
The New Brunswick Gospel Music Festival, now celebrating its 21st year, was originally known as the Rusagonis Gospel Music Festival, formed as a New Brunswick bicentennial project. The first festival took place on the grounds of the Orange lodge in Rusagonis, later moving to the Rusagonis Rec Centre and finally in 1997 moved to our permanent location on the grounds of the Rusagonis United Baptist Church.
Throughout the years, our Festival continues to spread God’s word through song and personal testimony. All who attend have expressed how much they have been blessed.
A good mix of music, both contemporary and country gospel, has always been enjoyed by all with groups/individuals coming from NB, NS and the State of Maine. Some of the participants in the first festival will once again this year be providing musical entertainment.
Rough camping has always been available and each year individuals come with their trailers, tents and motor homes to spend the weekend at "The ‘Gornish". Everyone seems to enjoy themselves and look forward to returning each year to renew acquaintances and make new friends as they gather around the nightly campfire.
Throughout the years the local Mens and Ladies Orange Lodge have been there to provide canteen services and to serve good, home-style country suppers on Saturday and Sunday evenings, which again provide a wonderful time of fellowship.
